This November, we're turning playtime into an opportunity to give back!

As part of River & Root's 100 Little Acts of Kindness initiative, we're hosting special outdoor play pop-ups where families can enjoy our outdoor play yard in exchange for donations that will help support neighbors in need.

Instead of paying our usual Outdoor Open Play admission fee, each family is asked to bring a minimum of $15 worth of items from our approved donation wish list. If you bring a sibling or an additional adult, please add $5 each in value to your donated items.

In exchange, your family can enjoy outdoor play at no additional cost! Your little ones can explore our mud kitchen, building areas, climbing and balancing activities, and other nature-inspired, open-ended play experiences throughout the yard.

We're partnering with The Unforgotten Haven, a local nonprofit in Blackwood, NJ, to support two community service projects:

🤍 Blessing Bags for Our Neighbors — We're collecting everyday essentials to create care packages for people experiencing homelessness in our local community.

🤍 Snack Packs for Chemo Patients — We're collecting individually packaged snacks to assemble care packages for patients undergoing chemotherapy.

All donated supplies will be brought together at our upcoming Little Giving Gathering, where children and their caregivers will help assemble these care packages before they're distributed through The Unforgotten Haven.

Please review our approved donation wish list before shopping. Only items from the designated list will count toward the $15 minimum donation.

Additional donations are always appreciated but never expected!

Can't make these dates? We'll continue collecting donations throughout November and hope to offer additional outdoor play pop-ups as the weather allows. New dates will be announced as they're confirmed!

Outdoor Play Only: This booking provides access to our outdoor play yard only. Our indoor play space is not included. Families will have access to our back bathroom and lobby area as needed.

Weather Dependent: These pop-ups are entirely weather dependent and may be canceled or adjusted due to rain, cold temperatures, or other unsafe conditions. Families will be notified if a session is canceled, and we hope to offer additional opportunities throughout the month.

Donation Required: Although your booking will show $0 at checkout, this is not a free admission event. A qualifying donation of at least $15 worth of approved wish-list items per family is required to participate.
