Join us at River & Root for a 45-minute sensory art and play experience hosted by our partner: Philly Art Center - Cherry Hill! Each week will feature a new theme brought to life through age-appropriate sensory stations designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and hands-on exploration.
Your little creatives will have opportunities to squish, scoop, pour and mix using a variety of materials and textures while experiencing a thematic thread throughout each session. Stations-based activities mean autonomy of interests and pace that builds confidence, while navigating shared spaces with friends!
Designed with young children in mind, this class celebrates curiosity, the building blocks for creative thinking, problem solving and self-regulation, all in the welcoming, playful environment of River & Root.
Class Structure (Play + Learn)
- Class begins at 11:30AM
- Open Play: Families are welcome to arrive as early as 11AM and enjoy our Montessori-inspired play space until class begins at 11:30AM. Arriving early and playing a little before class can help your little one warm up and settle into the space.

Instructor
Evie Vanaman has been teaching at the Philly Art Center in Cherry Hill for the past two years. Born and raised in South Jersey and a Rowan University graduate, she studied Studio Art and loves exploring all kinds of creative mediums. Metalworking is her favorite, especially making jewelry and keychains! When she’s not making art, you can find Evie biking, hiking, camping, or enjoying the great outdoors.
Class Cancellation & Modification Policy
Class reservations may be moved to another date of the same class up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to availability. Because our educators prepare materials based on enrollment, class reservations are non-refundable and normally cannot be transferred within 24 hours of class.
If your child becomes ill within the 24-hour window, please contact us before class begins. We never want families to attend while sick, and when possible, we’ll offer a one-time make-up in the same class series, subject to availability. No-shows are not eligible for a credit or transfer. If River & Root or the instructor cancels a class, families will receive the option to transfer, receive a credit, or receive a refund.
