Whether visiting as a family, an enthusiast or just plain curious, we offer something for everyone! Overlooking the seafront at Lee-on-the-Solent, and based on the old Daedalus naval base, we are the only Hovercraft Museum in the world. One of Hampshire’s unique attractions it’s a collection of international significance and is entirely volunteer-run. The Hovercraft Museum is an interactive place where everybody can participate in a wide variety of activities and even get hands-on with the displays. There is something here for everyone, from climbing aboard the huge cross-channel hovercraft to playing air hockey or getting a photo with James Bond’s Hovercraft. Our concession price applies to the following: • Those who are 60+ • Students (with a valid student ID) • Disabled (plus one carer goes free) • Military & Veterans (with a MOD90 or Forces Discount Card) • Emergency Services (with a ID card or Blue Light Discount Card) We’re open Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. We have a short winter break and return in the new year. We recommend allowing between one to three hours to experience all of the museum depending on whether you’d like a complimentary guided tour. Join us together with Spirit Chasers Paranormal UK as we embark on a paranormal investigation at The Hovercraft Museum in Lee-on-the-Solent.  Based on a former military site, HMS Daedalus, there have been many reports of activity from the years of military operation dating back to WW1.  Ranging from strange voices and noises to feeling cold and nauseous after an encounter.  You'll have the opportunity to board at least three hovercraft and experience our WW1 era hangars.  Hot drinks, water and biscuits are included within the booking.
