Opening Dates for 2026: Daily from Mar 28th - Nov 2nd Weekends and Mondays from Nov 2nd - Nov 30th Closed for Winter Dec 1st - Feb 13th 2027 Opening Times: 10am Closing Times: Summer (July-Aug) last entry 4.30pm , gates close at 6.00pm Autumn (Sept) last entry 3.30pm, gates close at 5.00pm Winter (Oct - Feb)  last entry 2.30pm, gates close at 4.00pm Spring (Mar - June) last entry 3.30pm, gates close at 5.00pm Please note:   There are  over 200 steep steps and winding narrow pathways  in the woodland. This can be challenging terrain and suitable footwear must be worn. The woods is  not wheelchair or pushchair accessible . Those with physical disabilities may wish to consider whether they can safely navigate the woodland.   In the event of an adverse weather warning we may need to close for safety reasons.  You will be notified by 9am on the day of your booking. Please check our website and social media before you travel. In the event of an unplanned closure we automatically refund your ticket. All visitors must stay on the paths for your own safety and to help us protect our ancient woodland for generations to come, thank you. No pets allowed onsite.
