Join us at Combermere Abbey for a special Autumn Family Dog Walk on Sunday 11th October 2026 , 12pm - 4pm in support of The Dogs Trust.  Bring your much treasured dogs, family and friends and enjoy a wonderful afternoon on the Combermere Abbey estate. There's lots to do for both owners and dogs! A 2-mile circular walk through the park and ancient woods - full of enticing sights, sounds and smells for two and four-legged guests. Partnering with our chosen canine charity, we have invited a variety of independent businesses with stands showing off a variety of canine products. Perfect for those elusive Christmas presents! Open to heritage lovers everywhere, join a personally led tour and gain a fascinating insight into Combermere Abbey's 950-year-old history from 1133 to the present day. Hear about its famous residents and visitors and the restoration from ruin at the hands of the current owners. Access Statement - please be aware that the most important room in the house is on the first floor and it is not possible to accommodate visitors with severe mobility problems or wheelchairs. Please ensure that suitable footwear is worn as the tour includes outside areas.
