With conservation at the heart of our ethos we actively support three charities and as BIAZA members we participate in six endangered species programmes. Specialising in home cooked wholesome food the café is a great asset to the park and serves a fantastic range of meals, snacks and sweet treats. There are also ample picnic facilities outdoor and under cover should you prefer. The gift shop provides a range of toys, books and gifts to suit all pockets & ages and should be your first port of call for animal adoptions and information about our experiences. The Ultimate Animal Experience is something that you will never forget! This experience is suitable for adults and children aged 8 years & over and is the perfect way to meet three of your favourite species of animal. Spend quality time with our Tapir Zico, the gentle giant who loves to be groomed. One of our expert animal keepers will assist you to make a toy (enrichment) for our mob of Meerkats, a gregarious and entertaining bunch. You will then get to place it in their enclosure and watch them enjoying themselves. Last but certainly not least is a unique opportunity to step inside our Ring-Tailed Lemur enclosure to be enchanted by these gentle and endearing animals.  Spending time with animals is a truly remarkable experience and is guaranteed to make you smile.  There will be approximately 500m of walking during your experience. An unique opportunity for anyone over 16 years old.  After enjoying a Bird of Prey flying display on the park your experience will begin. Our falconer will teach you how to recall and hold the birds, starting with an owl. Following this we move outside and step up a gear with one of our free flying hawks who will fly from tree to your gloved hand. Once you feel a little more confident there is the possibility that you may hold and fly one of our larger birds. There is ample opportunity for photos so bring your camera. Hawk walks take place year round in the afternoon and pre-booking is essential.  There will be approximately 1.5-2km of walking during your experience, with the birds flying to your outstretched left arm. Please contact us in advance if you have any reduced mobility, so we can advise and help with any assistance required. Maximum 4 persons. Available to people of 16 years and over. Duration 1 hour. The price includes all day entry into the wildlife park. If you are a true animal lover then this experience is for you. This is your chance to get up close and personal to our domestic animals. Pull on your wellies and head to the fields to meet our super friendly Herdwick, Hebridean and Soay sheep. Then it is off to feed Marshmallow our Dwarf Zebu. He likes nothing more than a good chin scratch. Finally off to meet our herd of Alpacas. They are inquisitive and very nosy, including giving you a gentle nudge. Cameras are a must to get your memorable photographs and be prepared to learn lots of interesting facts about hoofed stock animals and how we look after them. Don't forget to bring your wellies or sturdy footwear and appropriate outdoor clothing!
