Welcome to the wonderful world of Almond Valley Heritage Centre, an imaginative, heritage wonderland for all the family.   Spanning 23 acres of natural, built and cultural heritage, nestled in lush green fields and meadows, and straddling the river Almond, adventure and discovery awaits around every corner for all ages. Spend the day scaling, climbing, racing, leaping, jumping and exploring an abundance of indoor and outdoor adventure zones, trampolines, zip lines, trails and more, suitable for teeny, tiny and even tall adventurers. Make new friends along the way with a visit to our rare breed farm, take a train or tractor ride and enjoy a little time travelling with a visit to the Scottish Museum of Shale Oil, and our historic mill and working waterwheel.   Spend the whole day exploring and if your feeling peckish stop off at The Mill Cafe or the Shepherds Hut.  Whether you’re after a breakfast roll, cuppa and slice of homemade cake or a hearty lunch to fuel you for the remainder of the day, we have something to tantalise your tastebuds. Hot and cold food and refreshments are served daily, with range of homemade seasonal specials to cater to all tastes and appetites. Enjoy more playtime this Autumn. From 1st October to the 30th November, we’re making weekday afternoons at Almond Valley even more accessible for local families. As the days get shorter, we think children still need space to run, climb, explore, get muddy and spend a few more precious hours outside. So, Monday to Friday, from 2:30pm–5pm *(Excluding October half term (12th – 25th October)- Children get in for just £3 Grown-ups leap in for just £1 Come straight from school, bring Mum, Dad, Gran, Grandad or whoever’s on pick-up duty. Grab the wellies, wrap up warm that way you can squeeze a little more adventure out of our outdoor play areas and farm as well as our indoor spaces. The offer is available to families living in West Lothian with a West Lothian postcode and runs on weekdays throughout October, excluding the October half-term period from 12th–26th October, when our Spooktober programme takes over!
