Dr O’Driscoll is lecturer in Geospatial Archaeology at Glasgow University and has a wealth experience as a field archaeologist with a special interest in hillforts of the Iron and Bronze Ages. And who better to collaborate with Trimontium in renewed and insightful investigations into the leviathan of the Roman siege site at Burnswark Hill in Dumfriesshire. It is no overstatement to say that this magnificent monument is one of true national significance and James will reveal the fascinating discoveries of the 2025 and 2026 seasons and give us pointers where future work may take us.
