Evening Explorers Club

Ages 2-4 years old

Evening Explorers Club is an outdoor nature class where little explorers and their grown-ups learn about a new creature each week through movement, play, and hands-on adventures! Splash like an otter, collect pollen like a bee, build a nest like a bird, and discover all the ways animals move, live, and thrive in the world around us.

Class Structure (Play + Learn)
  • Class begins at 5PM
  • Open Play: Families attending Evening Explorers are welcome to stay following the class and enjoy our Montessori-inspired outdoor play space until 6:30PM. This extended time allows little ones to explore while caregivers connect, unwind, and build community with others in a similar season of life.

Your registration covers the full 90-minute experience.

Families have the option to add pizza to their registration, bring their own takeout, or have food delivered for an easy dinner. While families are welcome to stay and play after class, you’re also free to head out if that better fits your day.

This class is held fully outdoors. In cases of extreme inclement weather, we will move the class indoors. Additional guidance on clothing and preparation will be shared ahead of each session.

Instructor
Bridget Killen comes to us with a background in early childhood education (15 years). Ms. Bridget believes play is essential and nature is the ultimate classroom. From traditional settings to working at an outdoor nature camp, her mission is centered on getting kids and their caregivers outside, moving, and connecting through unstructured play.

Class Cancellation & Modification Policy
Class reservations may be moved to another date of the same class up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to availability. Because our educators prepare materials based on enrollment, class reservations are non-refundable and normally cannot be transferred within 24 hours of class.

If your child becomes ill within the 24-hour window, please contact us before class begins. We never want families to attend while sick, and when possible, we’ll offer a one-time make-up in the same class series, subject to availability. No-shows are not eligible for a credit or transfer. If River & Root or the instructor cancels a class, families will receive the option to transfer, receive a credit, or receive a refund.
