Then time to meet the girls and baby alpacas. Say hello to the pigs Peggy and Wilbur while you are here.  Afterwards enjoy a hot or cold drink in our cosy Tea Barn area, this is included after the walk. The adult carrying the baby must choose the walk-along ticket and will not be able to hold an alpaca lead, but can walk along with the rest of the walking group and spend plenty of time with the alpacas. We head off on a one hour walk through the field and old apple orchard, spotting wildlife and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.  In apple season the alpacas love to be fed apples, the rest of the time we have plenty of leaves and treats for alpaca snacks!  The walk route is gentle and suitable for most fitness levels.  Afterwards there will be time to spend with the rest of the herd, meet our crias (babies) and watch them play.  In the summer there are plenty of shady spots with tree cover; the alpacas spend lots of time eating leaves and apples! In the Spring, the walk route comes alive with bluebells. In late Summer the alpacas love finding blackberries and the colours of the orchard make for stunning photos (we love a pumpkin photo); in December, wrap up warm and we will get all festive with the alpacas!  Whatever the season, the experience is all about having some relaxed fun and enjoying the alpacas’ company in a beautiful orchard setting. Whilst in the alpaca paddocks you will have the opportunity to get up close with the alpacas, take photos surrounded by the alpacas and feed them their favourite treats!  A visit would also not be complete without saying hello to Peggy and Wilbur, our resident pot-bellied pigs, and giving our farm dog Tilly some fuss! Join us on a Private Alpaca Walk in the Orchard for your group only! Meet the rest of the herd and crias (babies), then relax with warming drinks and cakes all round, or upgrade to enjoy a delicious Cream Tea.  If you have a group of 5-7 people, the price is the same as group walk, and we will keep it private for your group only, whichever option you book. If you have children in this group size, the best option price wise is to book the group walk.  Alpaca Autumn Half Term Walks - 17th to 31st October include some extra fun! An amazing and memorable alpaca experience with the friendliest herd around! Get up close with the alpacas, enjoy a private experience all to yourselves, relax afterwards with drinks and cake included. Perfect for special occasions or days out!
